About HFS and Cody Folkvord

Coming from a long line of aviators, owner Cody Folkvord started flying at a young age.   Aviation was his passion.  While growing up summers on a dry land wheat farm in Three Forks MT.  Cody discovered he wanted to be an Ag pilot so he could fulfill both his love for flying and agriculture.  After Cody's second year as an aerial applicator he decided to buy an FBO at Prograba Field in Three Forks.  Headwaters Flying Service was established in 2009 and has been a great asset to the local aviation and agriculture community ever since.

Looking to expand in 2015 HFS bought out their competitor to the south in Dillon MT.  Growing the business in the State of Montana HFS is a full service Agricultural Chemical dealer and application company.  "The expansion was tough and very stressful at times but it just made since" Folkvord says.

Following his passion for aviation and his drive to always succeed further Cody found him self working with New Frontier Aviation as a S.E.A.T. single engine air tanker pilot.  "Fire fighting with an aircraft and protecting our local communities and forests is a fantastic feeling.  The job satisfaction and feeling of gratitude is something that can not be matched". 

In 2018 Cody was the recipient of the Ag Business of the year award
